New Features and Improvements

AtScale contains the following new features and improvements.

Support for DAX Tabular

AtScale now supports exposing a multi-dimensional model through a Tabular DAX interface. This allows Power BI Tabular users to avoid re-modeling hierarchies and attributes that already exist in an AtScale model, while simultaneously allowing report authors to create client-side measure expressions. Using external secret manager

AtScale offers support for using external secret manager, which allows you to store all data warehouse passwords in one place, and point AtScale to use it instead of typing the credentials manually. Supported secret managers are Vault and AWS Secret Manager; for details, see Using external secret manager.

The search bar in the cube canvas now supports searching calculated measures by name and query ID.

Connection logging for IRIS

When using InterSystems IRIS as a data warehouse, you can enable logging for the connection details by setting a JDBC flag. For details, see Adding InterSystems IRIS Data Warehouses.

Visualization of a dimension used as a basis for secondary dimensions

When a normal dimension is used as a basis for secondary dimensions, it can be recognized on the canvas by a special icon displayed next to its name. For details, see Normal Dimensions (Primary and Secondary).

Changed visibility of engine settings

The engine settings used when configuring AtScale to use Kerberos for inbound authentication connecting to XMLA endpoints can now be modified directly in the Design Center.
